My name is Shadow,

I’m a beautiful Silver Rosetted Bengal Cat. I’m only 3 Years and 3 months old. I’m possibly a little overweight as my human mum has spoilt me with treats that I love.

Where do I begin… My mum moved to a lovely apartment in Kent, were I had a huge balcony to play on, squirrels and birds came to see me every day, and I loved chasing them up onto the roof. This worried my mum a lot, but I still did it anyway.

 I love to play with chasing toys with feathers attached. I’m also very good at playing fetch. I’ll happily chase and return my rubber balls, springs and fish.  Surprisingly I quite like my belly being rubbed and the hoover attachment is also great fun! I’ve been spoilt, with many interactive toys, that roll around on their own, but I don’t really like them… I might get scared and go and hide. 

My mum has supplied all my favourite toys. Please play with me often and never leave me alone for long periods of time.

 My mum had to go to hospital once, I was left all day and most of the night. Then when the kind neighbour came to feed me, I had opened the kitchen cupboards and helped myself to whatever I could find, it was a bit of a mess! 

I love water, specially tap water. My mum bought me cat fountains, but for fun I used to tip them over, she finely gave up after  the third one. There’s nothing I like better than joining my mum in the bathroom, I jump in the bath, and she runs the cold tap for me, keep the loo seat down, or you might find me in there too! I also drink from the kitchen sink and beware, if you don’t want me in the bath with you, I suggest you shut the door. Sometimes my mum, runs a lukewarm bath for me, so I can splash around with my fish toys. I also have a paddling pool, which my mum put out on the balcony for me, so when it was hot, I could splash around outside.

 I love my long scratching pole, my mum built it for me, there is a photo of it, so you know how to put it together, I climb right to the top. I also have smaller scratch posts which are put around the apartment, not forgetting my scratch balls, which I like to wrestle with. I have never ever scratched the furniture.

I’ve had numerous cat beds, but I don’t really like them, so don’t waste your money! My mum has supplied my favourite pink blanket; she’s cut it in half and washed it for me. So, I will happily snuggle up on it especially if its on a nice comfortable sofa and next to my new family. I love following my mum around, I’ll curl up happily next to you and most nights. When I’ve calmed down, I will even stretch out on top of you.

Talking of calming down… Sometimes my mum has not listened to me, I’ve got a bit frustrated and chased her around and caught her! This has made her very upset with me, and she has put me in my own room to calm down, I have another litter tray, food and water in this room, but I hate it, I like to follow my human friends around. That’s why I think with a garden, I could use up all my energy and just relax in the evenings with my new family. 

My mum has tried to take me for a walk, I can now tolerate my harness and move around with it on, but as soon as she attaches the lead, I play dead! I won’t move…I’m also not keen on being picked up, but I will come and sit on your lap when I’m ready. I will find a garden a bit scary at first as I’m not used to it. But be patient with me, because I think I will love it in the end. I spend time looking down at the cats below, playing happily in the field.

I love to wake you up in the morning, with gentle pats to your face and if possible, I like to go under the covers for a snuggle. But when your up, I’m up too!

I know my mum loves me very much, but her apartment is small and she knows that I would love to have the opportunity to chase birds and squirrels, and feel real grass, under my feet, that’s why I’ve come back to Cathy, to find kind loving humans that will love me as much as my mum and treat me well, after all I’m very handsome, well that’s what my mum always tells me!
